Gege Macfarlane

gege macfarlane

Gege joined Peebles Care Home as Home Manager in 2025, bringing 13 years of experience in the health and social care sector. Her journey into care began with a genuine passion for supporting others and making a meaningful difference in their lives. She finds fulfilment in offering comfort, reassurance and high-quality care to those who need it most.

Originally from the Philippines, Gege completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2012 and began her career as a maternity nurse. She moved to Guernsey in 2013, where she worked in a care home as a carer before gaining her UK registration in 2016. Over the years she progressed from Registered Nurse to Deputy Manager, and now to Home Manager.

Starting her career at grassroots level has given Gege a deep understanding of holistic, person-centred care and the importance of dignity, safety and wellbeing for every resident.

Her advice for families looking for a care home is simple:
“Don’t rush the decision. Take the time to find a place where your loved one will feel safe, supported and truly at home.”

At Peebles Care Home, we pride ourselves on creating a warm, supportive environment where residents feel genuinely valued. Our aim is to make every day meaningful, ensuring our home is a place of comfort, connection and joy for everyone who lives here.
