Cheese, Wine and Art: A Memorable Evening with Liana Moran at Hilton Lodge

Hilton Lodge was delighted to host a special cheese, wine and art evening featuring Edinburgh-based artist Liana Moran – whose striking architectural illustrations adorn the corridors of the home.
Residents, friends and families gathered for an engaging and sociable event that combined creativity, conversation and community. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming as guests enjoyed a selection of cheeses and wine while mingling with one another.
Liana is best known for her detailed and evocative architectural artwork, and her pieces installed throughout Hilton Lodge have become a talking point among residents and visitors alike. During the evening, she shared fascinating insights into her creative journey, inspirations and artistic techniques.
Guests were captivated as Liana spoke about her career, the stories behind specific works and how she approaches texture, perspective and composition in her illustrations. Attendees had the chance to hear directly from the artist about the meaning and process behind the pieces that now form part of Hilton Lodge’s visual heart.

Following the talk, Liana led a guided walk through the corridors of Hilton Lodge, stopping at each of her featured illustrations. Residents and guests enjoyed the opportunity to view the artwork up close, ask questions, and gain further insight into the stories and architecture that inspired each piece.
“It was wonderful to hear Liana explain the vision behind her work,” said one resident. “It makes the art feel even more alive when you know the story that comes with it.”
