Easter at Mansfield Care Homes
Posted on 10 April 2021
Easter activities helped to brighten up Mansfield Care Homes and residents enjoyed a lovely weekend. Matron Margaret at Belleville Lodge says, “We had a very nice service on Good Friday, which included Easter prayers and singing Easter hymns, followed by an afternoon tea of hot cross buns.”
“On Sunday, the ladies put on the Easter Bonnets they made and we went on an Easter egg hunt in the garden. One of our residents, Mardie, dressed up as the Easter Bunny and followed the residents around for the egg hunt. The Bunny also gave out eggs to all the residents and staff.”
At St John’s Care Home in Melrose, Activities Coordinator Denise says, “Our residents painted pottery Easter Eggs from Cheviot Ceramics, which were given to them in Easter baskets, along with Easter facts and lots of delicious eggs. The Abbey View Cafe also kindly made us Easter cupcakes.”
Many thanks to Mansfield Care Homes staff and residents for the lovely photos.
