Birthday flowers and winter activities at Eildon Care Home

There have been many covid adaptations at Mansfield Care Homes during this year, and birthdays, celebrations and other activities to keep everyone busy have gone ahead, if not quite as usual. Wellness Coordinator Fiona at Eildon House says, “Our resident Jane celebrated her birthday with cake, singing and a window visit. We’ve also enjoyed playing memory games, giant cards, and other activities chosen by the residents.”

“We have been lucky to receive flower gifts, and some of the residents enjoy flower arranging. The flowers were kept outdoors for the recommended three days before bringing them indoors. Our residents enjoyed the activity and the added colour in the house. They have also been busy exercising their creative talents making winter-themed slate decorations.”

“Everyone is keeping safe and we’re delighted that our residents are all in good spirits.”
