Hilton Lodge Achieves Strong First Care Inspectorate Report
Posted on 24 September 2025
We’re delighted to share the results of Hilton Lodge’s first Care Inspectorate inspection, carried out in August 2025. The unannounced visit looked at all aspects of life at Hilton Lodge, from the quality of care to the environment, staffing and leadership.
The outcome was a resounding success, with Hilton Lodge rated:
– Very Good for our setting
– Good for wellbeing, leadership, staff team, and care planning
The report praised Hilton Lodge for its warm, respectful staff interactions and calm, supportive approach to residents. Mealtimes were well staffed, unhurried and dignified, with a wide variety of meals and snacks available.
Relatives and residents spoke positively about the care:
“I’m very well looked after. Everyone is very nice and good company.”
“Mum seems far happier and settled here than she was alone in her own home.”
The home environment was also recognised as a key strength. Inspectors noted that Hilton Lodge offers a modern, welcoming and homely setting with en suite bedrooms, bright communal lounges, a café, fine dining room, hair salon, and an enclosed garden.
Inspectors highlighted thorough recruitment processes, supportive supervision, and strong teamwork across the home. Staff were described as “kind, caring and helpful” and relatives commented on their dedication and friendliness.
To further enhance quality, the Care Inspectorate suggested improvements around increasing completion of e-learning training modules and expanding the use of regular outings for residents.
As a new home registered earlier this year, these results are a fantastic reflection of the dedication and commitment of the Hilton Lodge team. Home Manager Maria and all staff continue to focus on delivering compassionate, person-centred care in a safe and stimulating environment.
We’re proud of the achievements so far and look forward to building on this strong foundation as Hilton Lodge continues to grow.
