Belleville Lockdown Keep Safe

Lockdown Activities at Mansfield Care

Posted on 08 June 2020

Like care homes all round the country, Mansfield have been adhering strictly to lockdown and making sure everyone stays safe and well. We’ve been extra glad of the lovely weather and the return of spring to the gardens. Matron Margaret at Belleville Lodge has meanwhile given an update on how residents are keeping in contact with friends and family.

“During lockdown at Belleville Lodge, we are trying to keep our residents in touch with their families as much as possible. Residents made colourful posters with messages on them, and staff took pictures to send to their families, and also put them on our Facebook page. The company has also provided a tablet so that residents can Skype their families and enjoy a video call.”

Technology has also been a hit in other ways, Margaret says. “We have also held a weekly karaoke session which residents have very much enjoyed. And when the weather has been good, we’ve been out in the garden as much as possible, to enjoy the sunshine with an ice cream.”

Many thanks to Mansfield Care staff for the lovely photos.
