Peebles Care Home Wins Gold at Peebles in Bloom Awards 2026

We’re delighted to celebrate a fantastic achievement for Peebles Care Home, which has been awarded Gold in the Business category at the Peebles in Bloom Awards 2026.

The Peebles in Bloom competition, organised by Peebles and District Community Council, celebrates the hard work and creativity that goes into making Peebles such an attractive place to live and visit.

Each summer, Community Councillors explore the town, looking at front gardens and business premises and identifying gardens and displays worthy of consideration. Following a shortlist, independent judges visit the selected gardens and displays before making the final decisions.

With ten categories covering everything from very small gardens to community gardens, the competition recognises the wide variety of green spaces across Peebles. The Business category celebrates businesses and organisations that make a special contribution to the appearance of the town through their gardens and floral displays.

At Peebles Care Home, the garden is much more than a beautiful outdoor space. It has been thoughtfully designed to allow residents to enjoy and participate in gardening, with accessible raised beds that residents can easily reach and use. The judges were particularly impressed by the beautiful planting, the layout of the garden and the accessibility of the space.

A huge thank you goes to everyone who has helped create and maintain the garden. We’re incredibly proud to see the hard work of everyone involved recognised with this fantastic award.
