Say Cheese!

There was great excitement at Peebles Care Home recently when we had a visit from local photographer Kenny Martin, his photographer daughter, Natalie and designer Tania. They were at the home to capture the spirit of Mansfield Care homes for the new website and company brochures.

Residents were excited to be involved, and after a morning of shooting inside the home, including activity shots with some of the ladies enjoying seated exercise to music, we moved outside into the sunshine to have photos taken among the spring daffodils by the River Tweed.

We got to hear some fascinating stories from the residents, who have some interesting and inspiring tales about their early lives. We’re hoping to capture these stories on the website in a series of individual blogs which will appear throughout the year.

Amazingly, Kenny the photographer was born at the home, when it was the local town hospital! He kept us amused with his many stories about trips to the hospital when he was a youngster, including falling out of a tree and requiring stitches.
