Spring sunshine at Mansfield Care Homes

Mansfield Care Homes have enjoyed a flurry of springtime visits this April. At Pine Villa, residents were excited to meet a larger-than-life Easter bunny, as well as some fluffy new arrivals.

The Easter weekend brought some lovely outdoor weather and everyone enjoyed a daffodil tea and cakes indoors, before going out for some sun. In the care home garden, there were lots of Easter eggs waiting to be discovered, and residents had great fun finding the hidden eggs. The large Easter bunny who was there to help can normally be found in charge of the Pine Villa kitchen!

Later in the month, several residents took a specially equipped Handicabs minibus to Pentland Plants Garden Centre in Loanhead to meet some special new arrivals from a nearby farm. It was a great chance to get close to young spring lambs. Care home manager Margaret Russell said: “The lambs’ fleece was so soft! Everyone enjoyed petting them and had a lovely afternoon.”

The next date in Pine Villa’s spring diary is already on the horizon, with preparations well underway for a garden party to celebrate King Charles’ coronation.
