Mansfield Care Featured as Scotland’s Business Case Study by Barclays
Posted on 24 October 2025
We are delighted to announce that Mansfield Care has been selected by Barclays as the Scottish national case-study in its 2025 UK Business Survey, recognising our commitment to high standards, sustained growth and responsible investment.
The Barclays Business Survey spotlights organisations that have demonstrated resilience, innovation, and sustainable growth. Mansfield Care was selected for its long-standing dedication to exceptional quality in the social care sector and balancing expansion with our trademark small, friendly and person-centred approach to care.
Our mission statement is that “every encounter holds potential,” and this philosophy is what sets us apart. Across our homes in Edinburgh, the Lothians, the Scottish Borders, Kilmarnock and Troon, we continue to build trusted, community-based environments where residents are treated as individuals, not numbers.
Barclays’ survey underlines several broad themes affecting UK businesses – for example, many firms are facing rising input and labour costs, increasing economic uncertainty and delays in making investment decisions. The overall outlook remains cautiously positive, with many companies moving ahead with growth plans despite the headwinds. A recent article in the Times regarding the Barclays survey, suggests that ‘business confidence is high despite global uncertainty’.
At Mansfield Care, our strategy is built around balancing expansion with excellence. We firmly believe that growth should never come at the cost of quality. Over the years we have invested in people, facilities, and community-based culture, ensuring that each home we operate remains warm, welcoming and completely centred around the individual.
Being recognised by Barclays is a strong validation of our commitment to quality care and always putting our residents first.
Our feature by Barclays captures how we are:
-
Maintaining high standards of care while opening and acquiring new homes across Scotland.
-
Investing in our people and systems so that growing scale does not dilute our “small, friendly home” ethos.
-
Navigating the current economic environment by staying disciplined with costs, investing smartly and always focusing on resident-outcomes.
-
Embracing innovation and continuous improvement rather than simply expansion for its own sake.
As the business landscape remains dynamic, and as many providers feel the strain of rising costs, regulatory pressure and investment uncertainty, Mansfield Care remains committed to being a trusted, stable and forward-looking partner in the social care sector.
We thank Barclays for this recognition, and most importantly our teams across Scotland whose professionalism, compassion and dedication make our homes the exceptional places they are.
